Buddy support while living with your family
Buddy support is for young people and adults with disabilities who are living at home with their family.
This service is designed to be flexible and can be tailored to meet the specific needs of the individual and their family. ConneXu can provide support in the home or in the community to assist the individual to develop skills towards independence.
This could include:
Getting out and about in the community - e.g. learning to catch a bus
Going to the movies, games, clubs, etc
Developing social skills and making friends
Developing skills in managing money and cooking a meal
Buddy support can be accessed by individuals and families using Individualised Funding Allocation or Carer Support.
