Kat Price
Senior Leader Partnerships and Enablement (Bay Of Plenty/Lakes District)
Kat Price is the senior leader of partnership and enablement for the Bay of Plenty and the Lakes District and has worked for ConneXu for the past two and a half years. Kat has an academic background in Psychology and Counselling and holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Bachelor of Arts in Counselling and a Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health and Additions. Kat has worked for the Department of Corrections, Ministry of Education and for three different District Health Boards in Auckland, Wellington, and Tauranga. Over the past 18 years, Kat has held both therapeutic and leadership roles within these sectors and is a registered mental health and addiction clinician. Kat’s “why” for being at ConneXu encompasses two things, her passion for leadership and her desire to be part of improving the everyday life outcomes for people with disabilities. Kat believes that excellent leadership is a fundamental component to the achievement of this and loves her role leading the BOP/Lakes Leadership team. Alongside her work, Kat has many other roles as a mother, a partner, a daughter, a sister, an aunty, and a friend. Just as busy outside of work Kat also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, mountain biking and tramping with her partner and relaxing with a good book or movie.
