Tara Hedgman – Quality Practice Leader
Tara is excited to be part of a growing organisation which shares her passion for supporting people to reach their full potential, as well as to live the lives they choose.
With a postgraduate degree in Psychology, Tara is currently working towards her Masters, and has over a decade of experience working in disability support, including time as a Team Leader. She is both a certified BILD (British Institute of Learning Disabilities) Positive Behaviour Support Coach, as well as an Individualised Funding Coach (a mechanism that enables people to employ or directly manage their disability supports).
Family is important to Tara. Her home is in Tauranga, where she lives with her husband (Anthony), two children (Kyiah and Kaesharn), and two dogs (Bolt and Axel). When she is not working or spending time with family and friends, she likes keeping fit, particularly through boxing. Tara also likes to travel, and is looking forward to heading to the Philippines to build a home in an underprivileged community with Habitat for Humanity.
